STATE OF WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO CONSTRUCT AN AIR POLLUTION SOURCE
The State of Washington Department of Ecology (Ecology) received an application to revise a Notice of Construction Approval Order for an existing air pollution source in Colville, Washington. Vaagen Brothers Lumber Company operates an existing lumber mill at 565 West 5th, Colville, in Stevens County. Vaagen requests a revision of the performance testing requirements for the hog fuel boiler in Approval Order 97AQ-E137. Ecology’s preliminary determination is that this proposal conforms to all requirements as specified in state air regulations (Chapter 173-400 WAC, Chapter 173-460 WAC). The public is invited to comment on this project proposal. A public hearing will be held if Ecology determines that there is significant public interest.
